Purple was founded in 2015 and is best known for its purple mesh mattresses. Later, other products such as pillows and quilts were also sold. What I want to introduce today is their Purple TempBalance duvet, which is also Purple’s only duvet. It has three different sizes to choose from: Twin/Full/King. You can choose the appropriate thickness according to your needs. Want to know if Purple duvet is as good as their pillows? I’ll share real-life reviews from our team. Although the filling is down alternative fiber (polyester), it is fluffy and soft enough. This hypoallergenic polyester mimics the feel of down without clumping. It is available in three weights, the thickest is king size, and the thinnest is twin size.
The outer shell of the Purple TempBalance duvet is 100% cotton. The cotton shell is soft and breathable. Thoughtful quilting helps keep the filling in place so it’s evenly distributed. There is also thin, flexible Velcro piping on the four corners of the duvet for use with the PerfectStay duvet cover. This design holds the duvet and duvet cover in place. It’s so thin and flexible that you’ll barely notice it.
Test Performance

In order to get accurate feedback, my partner and I tried out the queen size Purple TempBalance duvet at home. After half a month, we summarized its performance in all aspects, from comfort to temperature regulation. The results are as follows, come and take a look!
Softness
Purple duvet performs well in terms of softness. It’s very fluffy overall and feels light on the body. I don’t like quilts that are too thick, the pressure makes my body feel tired. TempBalance duvet has just the right weight to keep you warm without being too heavy.
Quality
The duvet’s down is made from high-quality materials. Purple claims it can regulate its own temperature. To be honest, this promotion is still a bit exaggerated. But there’s no doubting the quality of the filling and shell. Square pockets hold the padding in place to keep your body evenly warm. The cotton shell is smooth, skin-friendly, and adds breathability.
Temperature Regulation
The TempBalance duvet is not really a cooling duvet. After trying it while sleeping, I found that it keeps the body at a neutral temperature. If you are very afraid of heat, you can try twin size.
Cleaning Method
Purple duvet is machine washable. Large capacity washers and dryers are recommended. Using a duvet cover can reduce the frequency of cleaning and protect the duvet. You can add dryer balls to your dryer to reduce drying time and keep your duvet nice and fluffy.
