Mix dry ingredients

Making brownies is also divided into dry ingredients and wet ingredients. It would be better to mix the dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately before putting them together to avoid being unable to fully mix them together due to too much material.

The first step is to mix the dry ingredients, flour, cocoa powder, and salt together. It is best to sift it once to make the taste more delicate.

Wet ingredients melts in water

Melt butter, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and chocolate chips over water. Stir constantly to fully mix the ingredients. When adding eggs, don’t put them all at once. Put them in one by one. Mix the previous one thoroughly before adding the second one. Then pour in the dry ingredients and chopped walnuts and mix. There is no special technique, just mix the ingredients clockwise.

Baking

It is best to cover the baking sheet with parchment paper after the ingredients are completely mixed, pour the batter into the baking sheet, and smooth the surface with a spatula. Put it in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Check whether the surface of the brownie has solidified halfway. Finally, you can insert a baking pin into it. If there is no moist batter but only some crumbs, it is ready.

Let cool completely

Before completely pouring out the brownie and cutting it into pieces, you need to cool the brownie. Leave it at room temperature for at least half an hour. If you want a thicker taste, you can put it in the refrigerator. Brownies can be kept refrigerated for up to three days. But you still need to finish it as soon as possible to avoid the taste becoming less delicate.

Tips

When making brownies, you need to pay attention to the proportion of flour and cocoa powder. It is best to strictly follow the gram weight. If there is too much flour, the taste may change.

Pay attention to the size of the baking pan. Generally, the brownie cake pieces we eat are relatively thick, so that you can better taste the texture of the cake body. It is best to use an 8*8 baking pan, so that the cake will be thicker, or you can increase the proportion of ingredients so that a larger baking pan can be used.

Pay attention to time and temperature. I understand you may want the brownie crust to be a little crispier. However, this will cause the texture of the bread to become hard, so in order to ensure the moist texture of the brownie cake, it is best not to overbake it.
