Ovens are very common in our daily lives, and almost every household is equipped with one. But a pizza oven sounds interesting. Pizzaiolo oven is a new product launched by breville in 2020. It has attracted a lot of people’s attention since its launch. Its price is as eye-catching as its functions. But what we can intuitively understand is that although ordinary ovens can also bake pizza, there is a certain gap between wanting to eat pizza that is as crispy and delicious as outside stores. But this professional pizza oven can reach this level, allowing you to have delicious pizza at home.

I like pizza very much, so it aroused my curiosity very well. I conducted a comprehensive review of this product and invited my colleagues to taste it and make some comments. If you are hesitant to buy it, then Let’s take a look at our review!

Pizzaiolo oven continues Breville’s classic design style – high-grade stainless steel shell, modern appearance suitable for any style of kitchen. The internal capacity can fully accommodate a twelve-inch pizza. So it can be imagined that the entire product is relatively large, so it will also take up a relatively large space, which is larger than the average oven that can be placed on the countertop. Like other ovens, it has a spring-loaded door and visibility glass so you can watch the pizza baking at any time. But the glass is a little dark.

The operation of the oven is simple, with only three rotary buttons at the very bottom of the oven. The timer is on the far left, and the preset and manual functions of pizza are in the middle. There are five preset functions: wood-fired oven, classic New York pizza, pan pizza, thin crisp pizza and frozen pizza. The manual functions are divided into 350 degrees and 750 degrees respectively. The button on the far right is a choice for the shade of crust color for the pizza crust.

The pizza oven comes with a stainless steel pizza baking pan and a stainless steel pizza peel. To be honest, this stainless steel pizza peel is really beautiful.

Performance

I am quite satisfied with the function of the Pizzaiolo oven. Its special heating technology can bake pizza in all directions. Without the ability to rotate the food, it can reach the natural baking level that can only be achieved by a brick oven. It replicates the brick oven very well. There are three types of heat generated by an oven: conduction, radiation, and convection.

Its optimized reflector prevents the toppings from being over-baked at high temperatures and changing their flavor, while at the same time converting radiant heat into the pizza crust, making it crispier and more delicious. When you make pizza that requires special spots, you can have beautiful spots without worrying about the toppings being over-baked and affecting the taste.

How did I tested it?

Since I don’t know how to make pizza, I used frozen pizza from the supermarket instead. Because I invited my colleagues to taste it together, I directly purchased a twelve-inch pizza that could be placed completely on the baking pan. Because there is an option to freeze pizza on the preset function, I directly use the frozen option to bake it. After waiting for more than ten minutes, the pizza is baked. When the time is up, the oven will ring a bell. Normal ovens will automatically shut down, but the Pizzaiolo oven will continue baking after the bell rings to prevent the pizza from cooling.

My colleagues and I agreed that the pizza was baked very crispy, the crust handled better than a regular oven, and the bottom was not as hard, but certainly not as good as homemade pizza, if you know how to make it Pizza, then you will get a perfect and delicious pizza.

Test results

Functions:

Because it is an oven specially designed for baking pizza, the operation is relatively simple. There are also prompts on the three buttons. The overall operation is not difficult, and the time to bake the pizza is relatively short. If you don’t want to make it yourself, you can get a delicious pizza in a short time by buying frozen pizza.

Cleaning:

The entire product is made of stainless steel, both in appearance and inside, as well as the baking pan and pizza peel. Although the oven is not as spacious and easy to clean as other ovens, the baking pan is easy to disassemble and is easy to clean.

Taste:

Since it is a functional product, specifically designed for pizza ovens, its baking function is quite outstanding and is different from ordinary ovens. The resulting pizza is crispier and more delicious, and can produce unique pizza spots if you need it.

Worth to buy?

To say this product is perfect, I don’t think so. If you want to buy, there are a few things you need to consider;

Its price is much higher than that of an ordinary oven, and because it is a pizza oven, it has limitations. If you don’t eat pizza often, it is not very cost-effective. It is relatively large and takes up a relatively large desktop area, but its appearance is very suitable for placement on the countertop. However, if you do not have a kitchen that is spacious enough for you to place it, it may not be suitable for you.

Putting aside the above points, this is an excellent product with certain innovations and features for its functions. Can handle pizza very well. If you are a pizza lover you should try this.
